WHAT IS AN APP?
An app, which is short for "application", is the software that is installed on your smart device designed for a specific purpose. In this case, it is designed to control, monitor and receive notifications related to your Anlger Armor alarm system. Angler Armor also provides a desktop application where you can perform the same functions while working from your desktop.

LET'S BREAK DOWN THE APP
Looking at the app, you can see that it is divided into two main components. Those that allow physical control, such as a slider and buttons and those that provide visual indications, like the LED's and map. The physical controls allow you to directly interact with your Angler Armor alarm to do things like locate the position of your boat via GPS, adjust the sensitivity of the vibration sensor and ARM or DISARM your alarm. The LED's provide visual cues as to the connectivity of the locker sensors, status of the cellular radio, GPS fix and status of the alarm (armed or disarmed). The map will allow you to track the location of your boat in real time, should it be moved from the geofenced location. Whether it is physical or visual interaction, everything takes place over a secure cellular connection between your smart device and your alarm system.
PROVIDING BALANCE
Right from the start, we sought out the opinions of the people who would ultimately use Angler Armor, you. Our future customers have helped us strike a balance between what we as designers thought was needed to what fishermen actually wanted. It didn't take long to realize that what you wanted was something that was simple to use and did not require a lot of interaction. So, while we gave you the functionality to control the alarm system, we did not bog you down with unnecessary features. Some things even happen in the background without any interaction like the Battery Drain Avoidance. Regardless of the level of interaction, Angler Armor will keep you up to date with real time notifications so you don't miss a thing.
